What's your audio interface?

So many choices these days. I switch between an Apogee and Tascam.

I'm currently using a dell computer with 24gb ram. My DAWs that I currently using are Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Native Instruments, Crasbangers.com sound libraries, and Antares AutoTune Unlimited. All the sounds are processed through my interface, which is a PreSonus Audiobox USB 96, which comes with 48v phantom power with 2 microphone/instrument inputs, midi, headphone/output ports. I'm currently using JBL headphones and Dr. Dre Beats headphones as well. I'm currently using two very small controllers. I'm using a Akai Professional LPK25 performance keyboard, and an Akai Professional MPK mini keyboard. My microphones are an Audio-Technica P48 AT2020 Cardioid Condenser, and also an M-Audio Producer USB microphone set up on a Samson Performance microphone stand.

Current interface is Presonous 1824c usb. Prior to that i had a Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820 USB Audio. Had the Berhinger for like 5-6 years and it just up and died out of the blue.. was good while it lasted though.. Prior to that I had a TASCAM US-16x08 USB, then a M-Audio Delta 1010LT which i STILL have and works flawlessly even on Windows 10 lol.. This actually was probably the BEST interface I ever had for the simple fact that there was ZERO latency, because it was pci based and not usb. It almost didn't matter how bad your pc was lol.. Very first interface was an M-Audio Mobile Pre..

I have been using soundcards like the M-Audio Delta 1010 and external mic preamps like the Behringer ultragain ADA 8200, firewire card like the saffire 10 i/o.

But today I use a Behringer mixer and this mixer sounds supergood and have 10 direct outputs + all the rest of the mixer stuff with knobs and sliders and what not. I do not use any USB gear at all I allways went the pci way (not even pcie) or firewire when it came. I do have a cheap condencer mic for usb from gear4music that sounds really good though. I do recommend the Behringer mixer and the old way of recording so I am going to try to skip in computer recording as much as possible and only use it more or less as a tape recorder.

I'm using a Zoom R-16 both in stand-a-lone and in control mode.
I kinda like that on batteries I can do some out of the norm recording that you just can't do with an interface and pc/mac.
I can transfer seamlessly with a ton of DAWs and use this unit as a control surface.
I just love the fact that I can use HARDWARE with this on a stand a lone basis and get some great results!!
My rack consists of :

1-Behringer FX-2000 3D virtualizer.
2-ART Pro-VLAII.
3-TPSII Tube pre-amp.

Plus the multitude of IRs and simulations that are in the ZOOM and amps.

Music is an experience and you should look to create what you like to hear.
I don't like a lot of the stuff on radio right now, but I respect the players that made it.
No one likes everything out there.
